Looks like the latest version has syntax highlighting and code-assist
checked it but couldnt get it to do syntax highlighting for .rhtml files...

This is about the 15th rewrite of the software that runs this weblog.
In the past I've used Greymatter, Blogger, a hand-rolled Perl beast, Drupal, WordPress, and a hand-rolled Ruby on Rails app.
This time, it was written in Merb (with help from Paginator, merb_has_flash, BlueCloth, and merbful authentication). I suggest you check it (them) out.
