The end is near

This Monday I registered for the last two classes I’ll need to get my degree. It’s a nice feeling getting that done, even if it won’t be until next May when I’ll actually “finish my degree.”

My first semester in college was in the fall of 1989. Here I am, sixteen years later, and I’m still working at it. Well, of course I dropped out a few times, changed schools (Michigan State University to Lansing Community College to the University of North Texas), and I changed my major quite a few times (Music Education to Psychology to Journalism to English Lit.). I think I’ll graduate with the most useless and unused credits of any senior, ever.

It’s going to be a great feeling to finally get this degree finished. I just need a few more months.
