Housing Development

We develop multi-family supportive housing and single-family “shared housing” through new construction, acquisition, rehab, and preservation of “at-risk” housing.

Our development portfolio includes a HUD Section 811 Supportive Housing project in San Francisco, a scattered-site project for formerly homeless households in Los Angeles, and single family home shared living residential care homes in Los Angeles County, San Francisco Bay Area, and other California communities for people transitioning or deflected from institutional settings.

Brilliant Corners is actively involved in the funding, planning, identification, acquisition, design, renovation, ownership, management, and maintenance of Community Placement Plan-funded licensed residential care facilities for persons with developmental disabilities through various regional centers in California.

Octavia Court

Opened in 2011, Octavia Court is the first HUD 811 apartment complex in San Francisco reserved for people with developmental disabilities.

No one will pay more than 30 percent of their household income for rent and utilities combined — enabling people on fixed incomes to live in and enjoy San Francisco’s vibrant new Hayes Valley community.

Brilliant Corners developed Octavia Court with support from HUD, San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, Satellite Affordable Housing AssociatesGolden Gate Regional Center, and many other partners.

We offer an on-site Resident Manager and Housing Services for all residents at Octavia Court. The property also features an art-based day program, which is open to residents. You can find beautiful and unique art pieces hanging on the walls of the street front windows.
