Brilliant Corners’ Capital Improvement Intermediary Program (CIIP) Team joined community leaders and elected officials on May 20, 2024 to celebrate Bridge to Home’s Grand Opening in Santa Clarita. Guest speakers at the event included Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo, LA Country Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Santa Clarita Mayor Cameron Smyth, and representatives from Congressmen Mike Garcia’s office, and Senator Scott Wilk’s office.

The Los Angeles County’s Board of Supervisors launched CIIP in 2017 to expand interim housing and support services for the County’s homeless residents, especially chronically homeless individuals and families, transition-age youth, pregnant women, survivors of domestic violence, and adults with severe mental illness. As CIIP’s fiscal operator, Brilliant Corners provides a range of master-leasing, disbursement, and construction project management services to scale new interim housing sites in partnership with the County’s Department of Health Services.

Brilliant Corners’ CIIP team joined the Bridge to Home project in 2021 to provide construction management, project management, and administrative support to this project through its completion. We are so proud to partner on this wonderful site, which aims to serve over a thousand individuals and families a year.

The Bridge to Home facility will provide temporary housing for 101 individuals, including 46 men, 23 women, and 32 family members. The facility includes a full kitchen that provides meals throughout the day, a medical exam facility, a training center for residents to have access to computers and build their resumes, a children playground area, laundry facilities, community lounges, and a case management office to serve residents onsite.
