Brilliant Corners joined Creating Restorative Opportunities and Programs (CROP) Organization, Californians for Safety and Justice, Los Angeles County Justice, Care and Opportunities Department, Los Angeles Regional Reentry Partnership, Councilmember Andre Spicer, Judge Songhai Armstead, and the Compton community for our first Reentry & Housing Resource Fair: Building Reentry Bridges to Housing and Public Safety.

The event featured an on-site expungement clinic, fair housing and community resources, opportunities for community and network building, and a reentry simulation experience.

Brilliant Corners Director of Case Management, Danielle Beal, was a featured panelist speaker for a Thrive Initiative panel on how reentry leaders and housing providers are working together and highlighted how our Breaking Barriers program supports people who are justice-impacted. Brilliant Corners Director of External Affairs, Jose Osuna, was also a featured speaker in a Fair Chance Housing session dedicated to discussing policies and programs that open doors for second chances.

Thank you to all the partners who helped organize the event and for creating a space to bring together the reentry community, housing leaders, and LA community members to learn and share.
