We are one of 10 finalists, and in this next phase of the Challenge, we have the opportunity to double our funding to $1M if we are selected as the community’s favorite nonprofit. Brilliant Corners launched the San Francisco Flexible Housing Pool in July 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, building off the success of existing Flex Pool programs operated by Brilliant Corners in Los Angeles County and now in San Diego County. Working with the City and County of San Francisco and other partners to transition individuals from Shelter-In-Place hotel placements during COVID-19, the San Francisco Flex Pool has already achieved tremendous results, helping unhoused or unstably housed San Franciscans find a place to call home.
