Los Angeles County’s In-Home Care Giving Program

Los Angeles County’s In-Home Care Giving Program

Urban Institute just released a report on our In-Home Caregiving pilot, which supported individuals with higher acuity health needs to age in place and avoid housing displacement. This innovative pilot project was generously supported by Cedars-Sinai and provided compassionate care for clients aged 70 and older through a partnership with Brilliant Corners, the LA County Department of Health Services, and JFSLA.

Brilliant Corners joined partners from the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Testimonial Community Love Center, DNA Architecture + Design, Mandeville Modular INC, and Hollywood Handy Construction Inc. to celebrate the groundbreaking of Testimonial Community Love Center, a new construction site in South Los Angeles that will provide 40 beds of interim housing.

We celebrated the Grand Opening of the Kohler, alongside partners from SSG, LA County Department of Mental Health, Project 180, Supervisor Hilda Solis, and Councilmember Ysabel Jurado.

Toyon Gardens Site Visit

Toyon Gardens Site Visit

We joined Supervisor Holly Mitchell’s team and our project team for a site visit at Toyon Gardens, a new construction development in the El Camino Village neighborhood of LA County. Toyon Gardens will provide 78 units to the community, with 60 permanent supportive housing units dedicated to people with disabilities, and people and families experiencing homelessness.

Brilliant Corners and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) are excited to announce the LACDMH Enriched Residential Care Plus (ERC+) Request For Applications (RFA), which will provide funding to support operations and start-up infrastructure of project-based licensed residential care facilities throughout Los Angeles County.
